Last word from the 8th Club President…

To begin the last words section, I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to my fellow committee as we together as a group, as a team, work and meanwhile have fun along the journey.

This whole year as the president, I really learnt and experience a lot. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to be the President of 2007/08 UMS Chung Ling Ex-student Club. I learnt a lot in the matter of the organizing trips, organizing a committee, planning for an event like the Tanglung Night and etc. I learnt in a relax way as I had support from my friends, my committee members and the senior. They gave me chance to learn when I make mistake, they gave me advise when I need it, they be there to lend a helping hands whenever I needed the most. I think and I am sure that I gain a lot of skill through this whole year.

Besides, the experiences I gain are wonderful, meaningful, and beautiful and … as we all walk side by side when playing and working. Look back, when been interviewed by the senior, I said that I want to become the president of the club. They asked me why? At that time, I said that I joined the most activities. At that point I not so sure the reason I want to be a president. However, I picked that up along the way. I want to continue the spirit of Chung Ling, to maintain the relationship among all the Chung Ling people, and to continue the Club that being establish eight years ago. No matter what, I enjoyed also knowing new juniors. Have a lot of fun time with them and building friendship with a lot of them.

Last word from me as the 8th Club President means the beginning of the new committee. The new committee main position from the senior was being elected by their own. Which mean they were not being forced but have the heart to continue in the journey. The new committee, I strongly believe is a combination of fun, commitment and strong elements. With a strong committee, now just need the support from all the members of UMS Chung Ling Ex-student Club.

Let we all, the Sabah Chung Ling people, enjoy our university life together and have fun together!!! If you miss the fun and the people now, you will never find them back in future!!!

~My First Time~

~第一次~

6月28日，我来到了一个离家乡蛮远的地方~沙巴。我来到了这个地方，下了飞机，走出机场时，心里大声地喊道：“沙巴！我来了！我终于来了。

沙巴大学，UMS，其实是我首选大学。因为，其一，地方远，出生于一个家庭平凡的我，这一路来，都很少机会出外走走‘吃风’，所以，这次在选读科系时，心里就在想：既然我还未出外看看世界，不如这回就搏一搏吧！其二，这里有的科系积分也比较低，所以也比较符合我的要求与分数。

沙巴，有山，有水，有岛，有海......人也很Friendly，相处起来也没有较大的压力。总的来说，这里样样都sui，就有一样很不sui，“这里的东西好贵噢！Beh tahan la !!! But,在这里已近3个礼拜了，我也开始渐渐适应这新环境了！既来之，则安之！

当我来到沙大时，难免一开始总会遇到种种难题，就在我渴望着别人的帮助时，钟灵的Senior们就犹如Angel般出现，发挥出他们‘爱吾钟灵 ’的精神，雪中送炭，伸出援手。令我十分感动。

他们就如哥哥姐姐一样，时常关心与帮助我们，也时不时介绍‘Ho Chiak ’的美食与‘Ho Yi ’（好玩）的地方！此外，这里的钟灵老校友都很风趣，也经常问候我们在沙大念书的生活，也同时带我们去玩呢！

总的来说，沙大，对我而言，是明确的选择！

在这里，仿佛在一个大自然里求学生活。美丽的岛屿，茂密的森林，一座座的高山，优美的海景与无尽的大海等，真叫人流连忘返。

New Family members !!!

hehe... new Chung Ling Ex-students came to study in our Universiti Malaysia Sabah and join our Sabah Chung Ling Family!!!

The earliest comer is Ju Ping. He seem very happy to come to Sabah and of course UMS. I like what his mother told me that Chung Ling is special that we are a family that we can meet with Chung Ling guy anywhere in this earth and will be welcomed and take care of. Here in Sabah is the same situation. i still remember the faces of another two guys came that days, and they seem so lost. And when Ju Ping's mother said that we have senior to take care of and must continue this tradition, i totally agree with.

However, Chung Ling guys really are Chung Ling guys. They can survive anywhere and any condition!!! The new junior can easily adapt and enjoy to the life in Sabah and start their life here in Sabah.

During the MSM week (Minggu Suai Mesra) in UMS, they, most of them become the leaders in they group. That is a good sign. As we, these seniors will retire in September and will be taken over by them, the new blood that just came to Sabah. I have fate in them that they will lead the UMS Chung Ling Ex-student Club welll and this Club will shine brighter than ever!
